Warehouse activity will target rising demand

Barnsdales is acting to increase the supply of warehouse space in the region after concluding a deal for one property and triggering the start of a new development.
Craig Gooddy, Senior Surveyor at Barnsdales, completed the letting of a new warehouse of nearly 43,000 square feet at Harworth, near Doncaster, on behalf of a private client.
The same client has now moved on to another project which will see delivery of a 60,000 square foot warehouse at junction 3 of the M18 in the autumn.
Craig said: “Global engineering group Laing O’Rourke moved into the Harworth warehouse very quickly, which is a great result for our clients and a reward for their confidence in progressing with a speculative development.
“It is also an endorsement of our advice about the lack of supply of good quality, sizeable warehouse units and the rising demand resulting from that. Our client is now constructing an even larger facility which we will be marketing as it nears completion later this year.”
