We are committed to ensuring that our employees are happy and healthy at work so they can enjoy their time with their loved ones. This commitment extends to our relationships with customers and suppliers.

In January 2025 our QHSE Director Andy Rennie was awarded the Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers status.

The MIFireE qualification, signifying Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers, is a globally recognised standard of professional competence in the field of fire engineering.

It is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated significant knowledge, experience, and commitment to the profession. Holding this qualification demonstrates to employers, clients, and the public that the individual possesses the necessary skills and expertise to effectively address fire safety challenges.

To attain the MIFireE qualification, candidates must meet specific criteria, including:

  • Academic Qualifications: A relevant degree or equivalent qualification in fire engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in the fire sector, demonstrating practical application of knowledge and skills.
  • Professional Development: Evidence of continuous professional development and a commitment to staying current with industry advancements.
  • Professional Review: Successful completion of a professional review process, which assesses the candidate's competence and adherence to ethical standards.

Along with Andy's numerous H&S and Fire qualifications, shows Barnsdales commitment in providing all our clients with the most comprehensive level of advice and guidance around Fire Strategies and Fire Risk Assessments.
